Creative Rising provides strategic planning, organizational learning, facilitation and coaching for organizations navigating change, complexity and important decisions.

Engagements are shaped around the context, people and decisions involved. Depending on the work, they may include Strategic Inquiry, stakeholder engagement, research and synthesis, facilitated decision-making, learning design, team development and coaching.

Strategic Planning & Engagement

Strategic planning works best when it is grounded in a clear understanding of the organization, its environment and the people affected by its decisions.

Creative Rising designs planning and engagement processes that may combine organizational inquiry, stakeholder engagement, research and synthesis, facilitated decision-making and implementation planning.

Engagements may include:

  • strategic planning and renewal
  • stakeholder and community engagement
  • interviews and facilitated inquiry
  • environmental and sector scanning
  • facilitated priority-setting and decision-making
  • implementation planning and integration

Depending on the engagement, outputs may include strategic frameworks, priorities, engagement findings, decision criteria, synthesis reports, implementation roadmaps or other tools designed to support continued organizational use.

The aim is not simply to produce a plan, but to build the understanding and clarity needed to put strategy into practice.

Organizational Learning & Training

Organizational learning is about developing capability that can remain within the organization after a particular workshop, program or engagement ends.

Creative Rising designs custom learning initiatives connected to the organization’s actual context, responsibilities and ways of working.

Engagements may include:

  • leadership and management development
  • conflict capability and difficult-conversation skills
  • collaboration and communication
  • curriculum and learning design
  • internal coaching capability
  • multi-session learning and development programs

Where accessibility, equity or participation are relevant to the organizational question, they are considered in the design of the learning process.

The emphasis is on application: connecting new insight and capability with the work people are responsible for carrying forward.

Team Coaching & Facilitation

Teams often need structured support when roles, relationships, decisions or working patterns become difficult to navigate.

Creative Rising works with leadership teams, boards, project teams and cross-functional groups through facilitation and team coaching tailored to the purpose of the engagement.

Work may include:

  • team coaching
  • facilitated planning and decision-making
  • role and responsibility clarification
  • working agreements
  • conflict navigation and difficult conversations
  • leadership-team and board development

Facilitation is designed around the purpose of the work—not simply the meeting.

Where a situation requires specialist mediation or conflict intervention, Creative Rising may work with an appropriately qualified associate or collaborator.

The goal is to strengthen the team’s ability to make decisions, work through tension and carry shared responsibilities more effectively.

Individual Coaching

Individual coaching provides structured space for leaders and professionals to think, decide, experiment and develop through changing responsibilities or complex situations.

Coaching may support:

  • leadership development
  • role transitions
  • decision-making
  • conflict and difficult conversations
  • communication and relationship challenges
  • translating insight into practice

Coaching may be commissioned independently or integrated into a broader organizational engagement.

When coaching is sponsored by an organization, expectations around confidentiality, purpose, reporting and the coaching relationship are established clearly at the beginning.

Strategic Inquiry Across the Practice

Strategic Inquiry may support any service area when a situation needs to be better understood before decisions are made.

It may include stakeholder interviews, qualitative research, document review, sector scanning, accessibility-informed inquiry, evaluation and learning, and synthesis.

It can be a focused piece of work or form part of a larger planning, learning, facilitation or organizational process.

Start with a Conversation

An engagement may begin with a clearly defined need or with a question that still needs to be understood.

An initial conversation can help clarify the context, what kind of support may be useful and whether Creative Rising is the right fit.
